Dear Auntie;
I wrote this letter almost a month ago & foolishly directed it to Hillary. It went to the dead letter office & came back to me & now I will try again. If you would write me once in a while I could make fewer mistakes.
I received a letter from Angie last week written Oct 15th. She had been very very sick but was much better & hoped the cool weather would straighten her out. She had dysentery. Everybody who goes from here to China(?) have it.
& nearly everyone that dies did of that disease. I do hope you will get this letter & write me. I miss Auntie more every day. I will close now. We are all well.
Louise
—letter 2, appears to belong to a different letter from the same author, but only contains pages 5 and 6 of the letter in question—
Luck in marrying. If it were not for Marcia, I should not hear from any of you. She wrote us you had moved to southern Ill & we sent a paper & letter there. Then she wrote you had not gone.
Give my love to Dennis & wife Harris and —? & kiss the babes for me. Our boys grow nicely Dix(?) talks of Auntie all the time. He misses her so much. Our Webster is eight months old & weighs within three lbs. of Dix who is three years old this month.
Have you ever seen Mills(?) boy? I suppose he is hard to beat. Aunt Esther McNeill made us a visit last Aug. She is in Ohio on a visit this month or she would have come to see Auntie. A letter came from Aunt Martha Seber(?) & her daughter Lonesa(?) the day after the funeral. I will send them to you in this letter.
I have had one letter from Aunt Angie & one from her daughter Hannie(?) Lord who has just returned from China. Angie seems very happy. Now do write one(?) you would if you knew how lonesome I am. I want to know how you all get along & what you are doing.
Yours lovingly,
Louise H. Little.
