Dear Mother Brothers and Sister
We arrived at Minneapolis a eleven OClock Tuesday Night Found Oscar and Lewis waiting for us. We got off the cars when I got down Richard says now ma be carefull for it is a long step for you. Oscar said Well that must be them Just then George says I hope Oscar is here. O says you do eh and give him a slap he was standing beside him then. We left Tolono at two OClock Monday. you better think we were Dirty and tired. We found our House Hould Goods at Soloman City reshiped to Minneapolis Oscar and Richard will go after them tomorrow and get us a stove The noise of the Children disturbs me so I can hardly write and I so sleepy I cant see went to bed last night at three. in the morning we came strait through only waited three quarters of an Hour at Kansas City. and the train was waiting at Soloman City for Minneapolis I feel very tired. Kate got Supper for us. So we both feel perty tired today. I wish you could see Oscar Children they are all well and fat as pigs Kattie is as young as ever Oscar looks hollow eyed like Harris and Dennis he is the same old boy he allways was. And he has got a beautifull farm if We only had a farm here I would be satisfied Richard is perfectly delighted with the crounty Oscar has as good corn as I ever saw in Ill. he has two big stacks of wheat will thrash Next week I dont think this so diferent from Ill, Dot is teasing her ma to take Dot her Name Mary Dorcas. She is two years Old and talks every thing. Willie and her were sitting on the floor and talking about Granma Dot had a piece of your dress perty Granma dress.
Alice is a nice girl and Lewis is a good boy they help their ma and pa Kates hair is all-most black and her front teeth is out The children are well pleased with what you sent them I had to give Willie the the book that you sent to Lewis for he wanted to know if Granma sent him a book Lucy Eaton sent Lewis and Alice a nice book Alice is so proud of the Apron Kate and Oscar are well pleased with the quilt he says it is nice, I must tell you what we had for lunch I baked 5 pies coocked 6 chickens had to pans off brisket then Kate Bocock baked rusk and and Cake and gave us a basketfull of peaches and apples we eat dinner there. My plants through nice and I have got them planted I hope you will all be out here soon and get a home
I think we will get to housekeeping soon Richard and Oscar will go to look at a piece of land soon it is ten miles away from here Oscar is plowing for wheat George is out with him 6 acres of Spring wheat that is besides the two stackes of Winter wheat he is agoing to put in 40 acres this year.
