Dear Mother
I am glad that you have made up your mind to come and see us for we all want to see you and it would take less for you to come here than, for us to come there.
Now Mother I send you $20.00 dollars and if that aint enough if Timothy will let you have more I will send it to him. And when you get to Newton if we should not be there to meet you ask for Mr William Shaver (Sen) the stage comes past our door every day we live 9 miles North West of Newton Write to us when you will start and we will try to meet you Now I shall be on tiptoe till you come.
Well mother i am glad you think of coming to see us i will be glad to have you come i will be glad to have you come i will doo all i can to make you comfortable you can Stay with us as long as we live on earth let us live long or die soon we are doing purty well plenty to eate and ware and that is all we deserve in this life if we live in this life so as to gain heaven when we die
that is all we want
