Monday morn July 14 1879
Oscar and Family were here yesterday they are all well they Recieved your letter and will write to you soon. Kate is working hard this summer she has [unintelligible] all there corn and helped stack his spring wheat I did not tell Oscar and Katie about Maggie Richard said not they never get any letters so they will not hear of it unless we tell them My Love to Maggie and Husband and all the rest tell Maggie to write I have written to her tell Mag and Dennis that that they owe me a letter how is D health this summer.
Now Mother give up all worldly matters go think of the better world it maybe that we will have the good luck so we can send you money to come west I thought about you on your Birthday and wish I could be with you I am all alone and the boys have gone [torn] Peter and me have to [torn]
Richard sends Love to you all if Oscars had not come he was agoing to write he has bought him some spectecles so he can see now Oscar says he would not Leave this Country for any thing. We all like it here I must close hopeing to hear from you soon
