[LOUISE LITTLE LETTER]
Bradford Aug 8th 78
Dear Auntie +c.
We have been settled in our new home about two months now long enought to have written you before but I dident. We looked for you at Hillery but dident see you did not even see the house where you did live.
I hope you are all well. I supposed that new grandson is quite a boy by this time probably knows his grandma. We have all been well since we came with the exception of colds + Auntie + Dix had those. Dix grows some + talks every thing + all the time.
he did not know his papa when we got here. kept saying “go way man” but he thinks he is pretty nice now.
[Sullie?] works every day rain or shine. if it rains he gets writing to do + makes more than if he went out. his health is better than when he was in the store.
We had a letter from Angie a short time ago. she was in Akron. does not intend to teach next year. I think teachers always marry if they don’t teach. don’t they? Ella Pepple had a daughter born July 1st she was very sick had hemorage. that is all we have heard
I am anxious to hear whether Marcia goes to Kansas next month or not. I hate to have her go so far away. I know you will miss her even if you dont see her very often. I presume Oscar + Kate would be delighted I saw Jane’s marriage in the paper. I suppose you have heard of Ediths daughter Ruth’s arrival I had a letter from Edie. Ada had gone to visit the boys. This is a very busy town although they say it is dull now compared to what it was when oil was higher priced. it is only $1.00 a barrel now which hardly pays for the pumping. I wish I had a few barrels to sell at that price.
Are Harris + Maggie still single? We heard you had all gone to farming. I hope you will be successful [illegible] I must leave a little room for Auntie to fill. I do hope you will write us. all put in some + that will make a long letter. I will write a better letter next time or quite the business.
Yours truly
Louise
My love to Dennis + family
a kiss for the baby
What is his name?
