Dear Sister
I was happily surprised to recieve a letter from you for I had come to the conclusion that you had forgotten me I ought to answered it before this time you must excuse me and not think we dont want you to come for Richard says he is sick to see you soon be a year since he saw you. When I wrote I thought I would come the last of this month I cant come now you can come and make me a visit then I will go home with you. Write when you will come and Jane can meet you any day if you can ride a horseback or Richard will meet you on Saturday adn if there aint anyone there go to Mrs Axtells and they will come there for you if we got your letter there will be somebody there.
As for work foor chance for girls to get work Jane cant get any. I will have to tell some sad news I went up to Urbana last Monday to see Auntie and [unintelligible] to pay them a last visit I went up with Mr an Mrs Nelson expected to come back that same night but they kept Mr Nelson he had to stay till Tuesday night They got a Jugement against him So Friday Morning Ally and Willie started off with Horses 2 cultivators a Breaking plow 2 Harrows 2 Wagons 2 beds and I dont know what ells they went to Springfield to wait for Mr Nelson sold his corn cattle and Hogs got $400, he has to stay to Mrs Staleys I supose he started this morning for Kansas he left the farm and town lots to pay his creditors he owes $12000. his farm is Appraised at 20000 with out the town property Mr and Mrs Nelson sent for me Friday he wanted to see me before he started he said to me Marcia a year ago couledent stood this the lord is with me he will provide. he left the Little Children and Mrs Nelson and John at the place yet they will probly leave Tuesday they will know what they will do tomorrow noon I never want to see anyone ells break up he went away feeling perty well Hopefull I shall miss them. how near has Mother got Mrs Nelsons quilt done If they dont stay over there she will rent a room at her Mothers and move up there and John will work out he looks bad. Richard has gone over there this morning to see how they are I am afraid Mrs N will be sick when the excitement is over.

I forgot to say any thing about [unintelligible] letter Richard says let it alone We cant do any thing anyhow there aint enough to pay to bother about it Richard has had experance in that kind of business he says the Probate Judge will take care of it so I aint agoing to do any thing about it and if we keep still we will fair better than the rest Mr Nelson and Mr Jordan both said the Probate would take care of it and they are men that know Mr Eaton and Mr Nash they say the same these men have all had property left them so they know better than we do
