Dear Mother
We are all well here at Present but so much excitement I am afraid I shall be sick tomorrow Maggie and me went up to Mr [illegible] to spend the afternoon so we eat our supper and started for home and a great big rain comeing from the North West so we walked verry fast and to clap the climax Old Mrs Parker stoped us to talk to us about Ernest he is crazy he came totaly so today he got up this morning and went to Philo at the break of day and did not come back till 10 O clock he went to bed rill noon he then went out to plow Calvin saw him in the morning he knew he was crazy so he came over to see him he went to the field found him raving he got so warm so that finished his work Richard said he never saw such actions in his life It is a terrible blow to Mr E poor man I pity him they sent a telegram to Herbert to come home Calvin is agoing to stay till H comes ever since commencement he has been growing worse all the time boor Boy how he must suffer. he is very religous he talks it all the time he went to Edies yesterday saw her and Ada Monday Night Maggie went up to Mrs Eatons and Ironed for her this farenoon came down here at noon then we done my washing commenced at 2 and finished at 5 Just as we got done Estelle Nash called to see her tonight Erwin come for her to go over there tonight so she is over there.
Well Mother you want to know about the Picnic Mr Jim [illegible] Family Mrs Throckmorton Daughter Old Mrs Lilly Mrs Swartze and Daughters Family Mikes Family Joe Hays Family Mr & Mrs Eaton Lucy Ernest. Richard myself Jane and Alferd Will Cuningham and wife Mr and Mrs Nathan Hazen Mr and Mrs Delong Mrs Boomer and Birdie Jim and Lizzie Lowe Mr and Mrs Alden and two Dau there was about a Hundred people there they had music by the Band and singing by the Bowen Family We had a good time nobody to growl because there was somebody there that wasent on old setter I dont know wether there will be any next year or not I will have to quit or Maggie wont have any room for to write

Dear Mother I expect you think I have forsaken you sure enough but I have not I wrote you when I was at Aunties but did not sned it + thought I would rite Monday but did not get it I am well and am enjoying myself splendid haveing a good time got to Urbana all write last monday in time for dinner they was quite surprised to see me they are all well at aunties I hope you are well + get along with the work if you get along good with the work I will try and get a place to work two week ago Mrs Collins wanted a girl in the shop if I had been here then I might had had work she inquited about me Lous baby is a great fat boy you would hardly know him Lou + I were over to May Collars I have not been to Mrs L nor Mrs H I am going to Urbana next week or just as soon as I get a letter from you I have been a good girl I will come home when ever you send for me [torn] cia has told you the news so I will close I will look for a letter soon from you from your loveing daughter love to all Lizzie + Meila
