Paintings of Marajen Stevick
The Stevick Family/News-Gazette Collection contains thousands of snapshots of Marajen’s life in Champaign, California, her many travels, and her beloved villa,
Torre di Civita. Alongside “Seascape” we are showing an enlarged photo of her working on this painting at the villa. The decorated trunk (2020-014-059) was used by Marajen to store her painting supplies. It is displayed along with her palette, a small towel, and another similar, smaller box. The brushes and stool are props and not part of the collection.
